As a leadership expert, François Héon combines his training in organizational psychology with 25 years of management and consulting experience to support the leadership development of individuals, groups and organizations in Canada and around the world.
With a team of international co-editors, in 2014 he published a book of Mary Parker Follett’s writings on leadership and democracy entitled The Essential Mary Parker Follett: Ideas We Need Today. And he recently published French and Arabic translations of it with the original English quotes.
He also published his own 25-year synthesis of leadership at the intersection of management, psychology, and philosophy entitled The Yin and Yang of Leadership: A Theoretical and Practical Guide to Democratic Leading (2018) and its French version Le yin et le yang du leadership : un guide théorique et pratique pour diriger (2021). He then published, in 2023, Leadership Is a Choice: Choosing the Two Transformational Attitudes of Leadership in Your Everyday Life and its French version Le leadership est un choix : choisir les deux attitudes transformationnelles du leadership au quotidien. These books are intended to be accessible and useful guides to leadership development for all.
